Esplora Interactive Science Centre in Kalkara is holding Sensory Friendly Hours on Sunday 27 September from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. During these hours the centre offers a calmer atmosphere for visitors who find bright lights and loud sounds overwhelming. Visitors can borrow a Sensory Bag with sand timers, fidget toys, visual aids, sunglasses and ear defenders, and a map highlighting quiet spots and light-sensitive areas is available. The morning includes workshops, science shows and the Planetarium, and trained staff are on hand to support parents and caregivers. Esplora supports the Sunflower Scheme and offers lanyards on request. Visitors should note that if the fire alarm is triggered it will make a loud noise. Disability Card and Esplora Concession Card holders pay €4, which includes one accompanying adult.
