Exiles Sports Club is primarily a Waterpolo and Swimming club based in Sliema, Malta. Founded in 1967, it is one of Malta’s established aquatic sports organizations, located right at the water’s edge beneath the historic St. Julian’s Tower.

What the Club is About:

  • Waterpolo: The club competes in the Maltese Waterpolo Leagues (both Premier and First Division). It maintains various squads from professional levels down to youth development.

  • Swimming & Training: The club operates a swimming school and training programs, often utilizing the MCS Pool Complex in Birkirkara for year-round training, in addition to their seaside premises in Sliema.

Age Groups & Categories:

The club caters to a wide range of age groups, focusing heavily on youth development:

  • Swimming School (Ages 3+): Introductory programs for young children to learn swimming techniques
  • Nurseries (Ages 6 – 12): Introductory programs for young children to learn swimming techniques and basic waterpolo skills.

  • Youth Squads (Ages 13 – 17): Competitive teams divided into age-specific categories (e.g., U-13, U-15, and U-17) that participate in national youth leagues.

  • Senior Team (18+): The main competitive squad for adults and professional players.
