Situated in the charming town of Żurrieq, Ġnien il-Ġibjun is a peaceful 800 m² family-friendly park perched atop a promontory overlooking Wied Babu valley and the iconic silhouette of Filfla Island in the distance. With a sea breeze and scenic vistas on every side, it’s ideal for relaxing picnics, early evening strolls, and quiet moments away from the bustle of daily life.
The park features a children’s playground with engaging play equipment designed for children of all ages. While there are several benches throughout the park, whether they are shaded depends on the time of day. It’s worth noting that the swings and equipment do not have any sun coverage, so visiting in the cooler parts of the day is recommended.
Additional amenities include accessible pathways, an outdoor gym area, a small football pitch and a picnic space with seating and open areas that allow children to freely use bikes and scooters (although the sign at the entrance mentions no bikes are allowed). Parking facilities are conveniently located adjacent to the entrance.
The area includes multiple restrooms and nappy changing facilities. A local club is situated right at the entrance, and it very conveniently offers some beverage and snack options.
