The National Literacy Agency is organizing a course for parents/guardians about how Parents are their Children’s First Teachers, and how they can fulfill this role effectively. This is a program consisting of five sessions, each lasting an hour and a half. At the end of the program, a gift will be given to those who attend the full course.
The short course Parents the First Teachers/Ġenituri l-Ewwel Għalliema offers parents/caregivers of babies and toddlers aged 0-1 and another for 1 till 3 years, practical tips to help their children develop linguistic and communication skills. Parents/caregivers attend together with their children and participate in interactive, language and literacy activities. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to implement these activities at home.
