School of Performing Arts Malta is one of Malta’s leading performing arts academies, offering professional training in dance, drama, singing, musical theatre, and music for children, teens, and adults. The school provides structured programmes for beginners through advanced students, helping learners build confidence, creativity, and stage skills in a supportive environment.

With experienced tutors and performance opportunities throughout the year, SOPA Malta is well known for nurturing talent and encouraging artistic growth through high-quality tuition and live productions. Courses include group classes, solo lessons, exam preparation, and summer programmes.

1. KINDI Programme (Ages 3 – 4)

  • Focus: An introduction to performing arts through play.

  • Activities: Movement, rhymes, imaginative storytelling, and “Kindi Yoga.”

  • Goal: To build confidence and coordination in very young children.

     

2. ourSOPA Fridays & Saturdays (Ages 5 – 15)

  • Junior Groups (approx. 5–8): Focus on basic skills in drama, singing, and dance.

  • Middle Groups (approx. 9–12): More structured training as they prepare for the “Junior Company.”

  • Senior Groups (13–15): Advanced training that bridges the gap to adult or professional levels.

3. Advanced & Specialized Groups

  • Junior Company (Ages 9 – 12): For students showing high potential who want more intensive training. Entrance is by audition.

  • Senior Company (Ages 13+): Focuses on creating original work and advanced performance techniques.

  • Performance Project (Summer): Specifically targets the 10 to 16 age group for intensive musical theatre workshops.

 

4. Solo Lessons (All Ages)

  • SOPA also offers one-on-one lessons in specific instruments or vocals, which are open to students of all ages, including adults, depending on the tutor’s availability.
