The TOI TOI program is the Learning & Participation Programme of the Teatru Manoel (Malta’s national theatre).

Its primary mission is to introduce young audiences to the performing arts and to develop, nurture, and support artistic talent through in-house and outreach projects for all ages.

  • Mission: “Learning Together through the Arts.”
  • Content: While well-known for producing quality theatre for young children, it also focuses on multi-generational and inclusive projects, exploring culturally relevant and educationally enriching subject matter through classical, folk, and jazz music, dance, creative plays, and musical theatre.
  • Thought-Provoking Theatre: The program commissions expert artists to produce engaging performances intended to make the audience reflect, question, and wonder.
  • Support for Artists: It acts as a home for local artists (amateur and professional), providing professional guidance, artistic development, and performance opportunities, especially in the Studio Theatre.

The TOI TOI Collective (TTC): A small company composed of alumni from the theatre’s training programs, focusing on “Youth-For-Youth” creation, where young artists write, direct, and co-produce their own work across drama, music, and dance.
