ŻiguŻajg International Arts Festival for Children & Young People is Malta’s only festival dedicated exclusively to young audiences, offering an exciting annual programme of international performances and newly commissioned work.
Launched in 2010, ŻiguŻajg has grown into a key fixture on both the local and international cultural calendar. Over the past 15 years, the festival has established itself as a leading platform for artistic excellence, commissioning over 250 original projects across a wide range of genres and creative disciplines. Through collaborations with local and international artists and organisations, ŻiguŻajg continues to nurture a national repertoire of high-quality work tailored specifically for children and young people.
The festival showcases a diverse mix of artistic experiences, from original musicals, opera, dance, and physical theatre, to award-winning films, innovative adaptations of classic literature, and new writing. ŻiguŻajg not only inspires young audiences but also champions the importance of accessible, meaningful cultural experiences that spark creativity and imagination from an early age.
A number of activities are organised throughout the year, aimed at children between 0-12 years.
